Reclamo ufficiale sul “sì” norvegese ad OOXML

La certificazione ISO del formato OOXML sviluppato da Microsoft è destinata a suscitare grande clamore. Il percorso verso l’approvazione, non è stato certo uno tra i più limpidi.
Come abbiamo cercato di fare notare nei nostri post, e come è possibile verificare in rete su Groklaw, sul comunicato stampa di FSFE o su tanti altri siti, quest’approvazione non può che lasciare l’amaro in bocca. A pochi giorni dall’approvazione però, Steve Pepper presidente della commissione ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 34, ha presentato un reclamo ufficiale affinchè il voto favorevole della Norvegia venga annullato.

Steve Pepper, dopo 13 anni di carriera, si è visto costretto a presentare un reclamo ufficiale sulla votazione su ISO/IEC DIS 29500 (Office Open XML) in quanto, l’80% della commissione sarebbe stata contraria a trasformare il “no, con commenti” della Norvegia in un “sì”. A fronte di queste irregolarità Pepper chiede l’annullamento del voto e un’investigazione ufficiale su ciò che è avvenuto.

[…]You will have been notified that Norway voted to approve OOXML in this ballot. This decision does not reflect the view of the vast majority of the Norwegian committee, 80% of which was against changing Norway’s vote from No with comments to Yes.
Because of this irregularity, a call has been made for an investigation by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry with a view to changing the vote.
I hereby request that the Norwegian decision be suspended pending the results of this investigation.
